Visayas Vibrant Wedding Industry Celebrated at Maanyag nga Mugna Wedding Fair

The vibrant wedding industry of Central Visayas made its presence felt last May 21 – 23, 2010 at Robinsons Place Dumageuete during the fifth leg of Kasalang Filipino 2010 12-city wedding and tourism fair road show.

Aptly titled, Maanyag nga Mugna, the said wedding and tourism fair and exhibit presented the most prominent wedding suppliers from Dumaguete and Cebu. The said event is presented by Kasal.com and ABS-CBN Regional Network Group in cooperation with Key Cities Events Management Robinsons Place Dumaguete, and Bethel Guest House.

Aside for creative wedding displays of local wedding suppliers, numerous activities were staged for attending couples and guests. Aspiring and professional make-up artists showed off their skills at the Ever Bilena Gandang Pinay Bridal Make up Competition. Ms. Diadem Desembrano was declared champion for the Classic Make-up category while Mr. Joel Dagod bagged first place in the Fantasy Make up category. Each received the grand prize of PhP. 20, 000.00 worth of Ever Bilena products, 1-year Gold Priority Listing advertising in Kasal.com worth PhP. 5, 000.00, and a trophy. Mr. Edrico Palencia and Jaybe Albesa managed to win first and second runners-up for the Classic category while Mr. Aaron Santos and Joseph Rosales were hailed first and second runners-up for the Fantasy category. The runners-up received PhP. 5, 000.00 worth of Ever Bilena products, 1-year Gold Priority Listing advertising in Kasal.com worth PhP. 5, 000.00, and a trophy as well.

Certificates were given to all the wedding suppliers who took part in the event. The combined efforts of YumCha Cuisine and Catering Service and AAC Tech Solution Enterprise earned them the Best Booth Award. The three-day exhibit was capped with a musical presentation by local artists. All the couples who attended the event received free gift pack while lucky couples received special gift packs and gift certificates courtesy of the event sponsors.

Kasalang Filipino 2010 is a nationwide wedding and tourism fair road show, which ties twelve (12) Philippine cities with one goal of promoting the local wedding industry. The following are the 12 cities of the 2010 road show – Cabanatuan, General Santos, Lucena, Baguio, Dumaguete, Pampanga, Davao, Malolos, Tagaytay, Cagayan de Oro, San Fernando, and Bacolod. This year’s Kasalang Filipino 12-city roadshow is endorsed by the Department of Tourism.
